# RUT & RUAVT

Set up and use the RUT and RUAVT unlock and UAV tools across every supported Call of Duty title, plus fixes for their specific errors.

Switch the game to **windowed mode** before pressing `F2`. Use the game settings or press Alt+Enter. The tool will not activate in fullscreen.

### Supported systems

**Supported**

* Windows 10 build 1903 and newer, and all stable Windows 11 builds including 25H2
* Intel and AMD processors
* Battle.net, Steam and Xbox Game Pass

**Not supported**

* Windows 11 Insider Preview and Windows Server
* VDS / VPS / virtual machines
* Mac, Xbox and PlayStation consoles

### Add Your Key

Add your tool key to your RUT profile in the dashboard.

### Launch the Tool

1. Open your game launcher (Battle.net, Steam or Xbox Game Pass) and log in
2. Download and run the RUT V4 Launcher **as Administrator**
3. Paste your Master Key from the dashboard and press **Enter**

### Link Your Account (first time only)

After selecting a product in the launcher, click **(+)** to link your game account.

The game starts and closes automatically, then RUT V4 restarts by itself. This happens **only once**, on first activation. When linking finishes, load the product again. There is no need to restart the launcher. After this, just hit **Load**.

**BO6 and BO7:** move from COD HQ into multiplayer before pressing `F2`.

**Running both tools on MWIII (2023):** load the UAV tool first and wait for the launcher to close, then run the launcher again and load the Unlocker. In the lobby press `F2` to inject, `F3` for the Unlocker, and `F5` for UAV.

### How your keys are locked

### Spoofers

A spoofer is strongly recommended if you use multiple accounts, and is **required** if any account or PC has ever been shadow banned or permanently banned. It reduces the chance of a shadow ban (350ms ping for 5 to 7 days) or a permanent ban.

RUT is compatible with spoofers and cleaners, but **not** with a patched Windows bootloader such as the ArtificialAiming spoofer.

## Troubleshooting

Most problems come from general PC setup rather than the tool. Work through the [Pre-Setup Guide](/getting-started/pre-setup-guide.md), or run the [Support Tool](/getting-started/support-tool.md) to handle antivirus, Defender, Memory Integrity, Fast Startup, conflicting software and the Intel driver automatically. The items below are specific to RUT and RUAVT.

### ERROR 0 - Connection Error

Redownload the RUT V4 launcher from the [RUT dashboard](https://rut.gg/dashboard/downloads).

If it persists, connect a free VPN to any European country other than your own, run the tool with your Master key, wait for it to close, disable the VPN, then start the game.

### ERROR 3 - System is not supported

Check that all third-party antivirus is fully uninstalled, every anti-cheat service is disabled, and Memory Integrity is off. The [Support Tool](/getting-started/support-tool.md) checks all three for you.

### The tool does not activate

Make sure the game is in windowed mode before pressing `F2`, and wait in the main lobby before activating.

### UAV or unlocker does not activate (AMD Radeon)

Open **AMD Software: Adrenalin Edition** > **Settings** > **Graphics**, then select the Standard profile or turn off **Radeon Anti-Lag**.

### The game crashes on injection

Close unnecessary programs, update your graphics drivers, verify the game files through your launcher, and run both the game and the tool as Administrator.

### Staying stable

* Use a spoofer if you play on multiple accounts
* Sync your system time before each session
* Re-check that a Windows update has not turned Windows Defender back on
