# Accessing Your Key

Find your license key after purchase, know where to enter it, and what to do if it has not appeared yet.

Your license key is issued to your CamUnlocks account as soon as your payment clears. It lives on your purchases page, and you can come back for it any time.

### Sign in with the account you bought on

Your keys belong to the account that placed the order. If a key looks missing, being signed in on a different account is the most common reason.

### Open your purchases

Go to your client area and open **Purchases**, or use the link above.

### Open the purchase

Select the product you bought. Your license key is shown there, ready to copy.

**Do not activate until you are ready to play.** Many products lock to your hardware the first time the key is used, and your subscription time starts counting from that moment rather than from when you bought it. Activate on the PC you actually intend to use.

## Where your key goes

Products do not all take the key in the same place. These are the common patterns:

## Key has not appeared?

Check these before opening a ticket:

* **The payment is still clearing.** Your key appears once the order is marked complete, which can take a few minutes.
* **You are signed in on a different account.** Keys are tied to the account that placed the order.
* **You are looking at the wrong product.** If you own several, open the specific purchase rather than the list.
